The Forecasting-System was developed to streamline the monthly sales forecasting process for the Import department and improve collaboration with the Sales team. In addition, a Line Chatbot Extension was introduced to enable real-time access to stock availability, providing instant insights via chat commands. Together, these tools enhance data consolidation, reduce delays, and prevent missed sales opportunities by delivering timely, actionable information directly to users.
Previously, salespeople submitted their forecasts individually via email, leading to a labor-intensive manual process for the Import team to consolidate data into Excel. This method was slow, error-prone, and often caused delays in planning. Sales staff also faced difficulty accessing real-time stock data—they had to rely on other departments for updates, which slowed down decision-making and increased the risk of overcommitting or losing sales due to unavailable information.
To address these challenges, a web-based Forecasting-System was built, allowing sales staff to input forecasts directly through a centralized interface. The Import team can now instantly view aggregated forecasts by product, salesperson, and customer—saving time and reducing errors. Complementing this, a Line Chatbot was integrated to allow users to query remaining stock using natural Thai-language commands. The bot calculates real-time availability based on forecasted versus actual sales data, empowering the sales team to make quick, informed decisions. Together, these tools have significantly improved operational efficiency, minimized communication gaps, and helped prevent lost sales due to stock mismanagement or delays.
